MODELLING·WHITE DWARF 308

Swamp Base: Water, Plants and Reeds

August 2005·p. 74

THE SHORT VERSION

Untextured patches on the Gaunts’ bases become murky pools painted from Rotting Flesh, Graveyard Earth and a touch of Camo Green. Three blobs of PVA create the water surface, while torn lichen and long modelling grass suggest alien vegetation and reeds. Scorched Brown finishes the rim. The models are varnished before the water is added so the pool retains its gloss rather than being dulled by the final protective coat.
