MODELLING·WHITE DWARF 307

Lay of the Land

July 2005·pp. 94–97

THE SHORT VERSION

Guy Haley links scenery to the regions of the War of the Ring campaign, from Shire farmland and northern snows to forests, eastern plains, Harad’s deserts and volcanic Mordor. Gondor’s settlements and rivers create opportunities for siege and waterborne games. Mat Baxter then demonstrates two reusable scatter pieces: a layered-polystyrene Warg cave and a Haradrim tent made from PVA-stiffened paper towel. Both are finished to blend with larger terrain collections.
