Jungle Terrain

July 2005·pp. 26–31

THE SHORT VERSION

Adi Wood contrasts the open killing ground of a conventional pitched battle with a Lustrian board whose vegetation controls movement and visibility. Four terrain classes are represented by increasing the density of foliage, trees and plastic plants, making their different game effects visible. The guide also shows how existing woods and hills can be moved into the middle of a table to create channels and ambush opportunities, and recommends covering roughly one third to one half of the board.
