Warhammer Chronicles: Handmaids of the Gods

July 2005·pp. 32–35

THE SHORT VERSION

Andy Hoare examines contradictory accounts of Lustria’s Amazons, from Norse chronicles of warrior-mystics to Drivot’s claim that they served the creators during the world’s earliest age. Other theories link them to outcast Norse women, but none settles their origin. Their High Age weapons and occupation of Lizardmen ruins imply unusual access to ancient power; dealings with the Lizardmen and invading armies vary between cooperation and violence. The feature concludes with rules for an allied Serpent Priestess.
