An Imperial-style illustrated dossier identifies the Carnifex’s changing anatomy and living weapons, including spore cysts, spine banks, adrenal glands and alternative tails. It presents deathspitters, devourers, barbed stranglers, scything talons and crushing claws as adaptations to different targets. A Magos’s commentary frames the many interchangeable model components as growing biological divergence, suggesting that hive fleets tailor assault beasts to the resistance encountered on each world.
