Building Osgiliath Ruins
January 2004·pp. 118–121
THE SHORT VERSION
Mark Jones builds a ruined structure from foamboard inner walls and a textured polystyrene outer layer. Templates establish the arches, while irregular scored brickwork and broken edges avoid a mechanical appearance. A bevelled base, rubble and pieces from the boxed game add structure and detail. Grey drybrushes and brown-green weathering finish a practical terrain piece whose methods can be extended to stairways, multiple storeys and varied city ruins.
