Hardened Veterans
January 2004·pp. 54–57
THE SHORT VERSION
Tammy Haye presents veteran Guard squads whose conversions communicate campaign experience and regimental identity. Personal weapons, scars, extra supplies and altered clothing distinguish the soldiers, while Dave Taylor’s Macharians add devotional details and Mark Tait’s unit draws on the Cityfight cover. Steve Shepherd’s cold-weather palette and Chris Blair’s painted markings show how colour can contribute as much as new parts. The examples encourage individuality without abandoning a squad’s shared equipment and background.
