Standing Watch

February 2012·pp. 62–65

THE SHORT VERSION

Jervis Johnson develops the Deathknell Watch as both an Imperial warning station and a distinctive battlefield building. Its signal apparatus can improve the coordination of nearby forces, but its unstable magical power also creates a dangerous weapon for the occupants. A dedicated raiding scenario then tests whether an attacker can seize scattered intelligence while the defenders use the tower and incoming reinforcements to stop them.
