Painting the Metal

February 2012·p. 68

THE SHORT VERSION

Gold begins over Tin Bitz with Shining Gold, while the silver areas start in Chainmail. Badab Black and Devlan Mud darken the metallic surfaces, with extra shading on the silver helping establish the army’s worn mechanical appearance; Chainmail then restores sharp edges and Scorched Brown adds chips to the gold. The Eternity Gate receives a diluted black wash to deepen its sculpted swirling detail.
