The Fall of Iyanden

THE SHORT VERSION

Hive Fleet Kraken devastates Iyanden and drives the craftworld to awaken its dead before Prince Yriel and his Eldritch Raiders return to save it from extermination. Robin Cruddace recalls encountering the story through Doom of the Eldar and being struck by its scale: space warfare, vast living ships, an Avatar facing alien monsters and an exiled prince’s costly return. The feature presents the near-destruction as both a spectacular battle and a defining tragedy for the surviving Eldar.
