SHOWCASE·WHITE DWARF 386

Armies of the Night

February 2012·pp. 70–73

THE SHORT VERSION

Two Vampire Counts collectors show how the same army range supports very different visual stories. Matt Hutson’s force uses deep red and green balefire around a mounted aristocratic core, whereas Carl Dafforn builds a darker, muddy collection with snowy bases and models clawing up from the earth. Their accounts connect the choice of an initial box or favourite unit with the later additions and conversions that give a growing army its identity.
