PAINTING·WHITE DWARF 385

Flesh Tones

January 2012·p. 72

THE SHORT VERSION

The Ghorgon’s skin begins with Tallarn Flesh and a brown-black wash applied directly into the recesses. Restoring the base on the muscles precedes successively lighter flesh mixtures and narrow final bone-tinted highlights. Starting with this broad area allows spraying and large brushwork before the surrounding details need protection.
