Basing
January 2012·p. 74
THE SHORT VERSION
Slate fragments raise selected areas before sand covers the remaining base. Brown and ochre-bone drybrushing establish the ground, followed by a dark wash and two kinds of grass tufts placed in clumps. Chad recommends enough variation to make the large surface interesting without letting the base compete with the monster.
