Phil Kelly recounts Mannfred’s attempt to break the alliance of Elves, Dwarfs and Men while acquiring an innocent soul for Nagash’s return. He lures Princess Aliathra’s delegation into a mountain ambush, then Kemmler raises fallen Orcs and Dwarfs against their former allies. A magical escape fails when Terrorgheists capture the princess and Mannfred defeats her consort, leaving both a ritual victim and renewed mistrust between the older races.
