The Swordfysh
October 2011·p. 96
THE SHORT VERSION
Black hull surfaces receive narrow grey highlights beside gold trim, pale shells and bone. The sails combine dark grey cloth with blue-green decorative areas and cold pale motifs, using black washes to separate the details. Painting the hull, base and sails independently protects those crisp contrasts during assembly.
