Skabrus
October 2011·p. 101
THE SHORT VERSION
The Skabrus is kept in three parts so its exposed organs can be painted before enclosure. A purple-and-flesh wash shades pale corpse skin, while green stages brighten the bell and warm brown highlights pick out wood. Red guts receive dark washes and a final red glaze; turquoise-green corrosion on brass contrasts with the decaying body.
