THE SHORT VERSION

Duncan Rhodes and Steve Bowerman paint the entire Dreadfleet box, planning subassemblies around difficult interior detail and separate sails. They recommend tackling messy decking before clean hull surfaces and using related methods across ships where a particular material is not repeated in every guide. Individual recipes cover each vessel, auxiliaries, sea bases, wrecks and islands, with staged finishes that can be stopped earlier if a simpler result is preferred.

The Grand Alliance

Jaego Roth returns to Sartosa to find his family killed by the supposedly legendary Dreadfleet. Denied official help, he steals the Heldenhammer and raids Zandri to pay other captains to join his pursuit. The Golden Magus, Aranessa Saltspite and Red Brokk bring their own interests to the expedition, with Prince Yrellian encountered later inside the Galleon’s Graveyard.
