Matt Parkes explains that his fourth UK-winning diorama grew organically over four years from models he wanted to include, with the banner alone taking six weeks to paint. The other winners demonstrate the range of subjects and approaches recognised at the highest level of the competition.

Scipio Vorolanus leads his Ultramarines through an ice-choked refinery under relentless Necron fire, but Tigurius orders them to halt before their final advance.
