THE SHORT VERSION
The Purifier’s white helmet begins with Astronomican Grey, a carefully placed black recess wash and progressively lighter grey-white layers. Blue lenses receive pale highlights and a tiny white reflection, while parchment starts in Bleached Bone, is shaded with sepia and restored with bone and white. Keeping the dark eye sockets and shaded recesses intact gives the pale helmet definition without dirtying its symbolism.
