Painting Skeleton Warriors
July 2010·p. 96
THE SHORT VERSION
The Skeleton begins with a sprayed pale stone base, then receives dark metal, brown leather and two blue-grey cloth colours. A single liberal brown wash ties those materials together before selective bone, silver and blue-white highlights restore their distinctions. The four-stage sequence keeps rank-and-file painting efficient while giving the regiment the cool spectral appearance required by the larger army scheme.
