Scree Slope

July 2010·p. 82

THE SHORT VERSION

A Gaming Hill becomes a treacherous slope through loose slate from the basing kit, scattered skulls and a bare tree. It retains a hill’s ordinary benefits but becomes dangerous to troops charging, marching or fleeing across it. The example explains how a simple change in surface texture can convey a specific hazard and encourage use as a defensive position without requiring a completely scratch-built landscape.
