Bloodshed at Osterwald: Meeting Engagement
July 2010·pp. 58–59
THE SHORT VERSION
The overview explains diagonal deployment separated by a narrow strip of no-man’s-land and the chance of each unit arriving late as a first-turn reserve. Mat’s Greatswords, battle standard and cannon are delayed, while his Spearmen discover they occupy a hostile Wildwood. The battlefield’s Wizard’s Tower, Blessed Bulwark and Wyrding Well provide advantages and hazards that shape the battle before either army begins its attack.
