Horses
April 2010·p. 99
THE SHORT VERSION
The brown horses share a Scorched Brown base but vary in the lighter colours mixed into their highlights. A combined brown-black wash unifies the coat, tack and detail, after which the earlier highlights are restored. The compact sequence gives enough variation for natural-looking formations while keeping dozens of mounts practical to finish, with Bleached Bone and Bubonic Brown explicitly suggested as useful lightening colours.
