Painting the Details: Magnetic Accelerator and Axe Handle
January 2010·p. 86
THE SHORT VERSION
Blue plasma coils supply a cool accent planned before painting begins, with successive blue layers ending in very pale ridge highlights. The axe handle instead becomes a reddish brown chosen late in the process to suit the finished model. Bone-yellow highlights lighten that leather before a red glaze enriches it again, showing how small details can echo existing colours while retaining different material identities.
