Chad’s Top Tip: Modelling Bases

January 2010·pp. 94–95

THE SHORT VERSION

Chad reserves the largest scenic bases for leaders and monsters, using chopped barrels, damaged girders, spare foliage and building parts to imply an advancing army in a believable environment. Angled cuts and surrounding sand make debris appear embedded rather than simply placed on top. A Beastmen example extends the advice to ranked regiments, where neighbouring bases are developed together so scenic details align without preventing the unit from fitting.
