PAINTING·WHITE DWARF 350

Orcs and Orks

February 2009·p. 101

THE SHORT VERSION

The Orc face starts very dark with Orkhide Shade and Badab Black, preserving strong shadows beneath the brow and around the mouth. Knarloc Green supplies the mid-tone before Goblin Green defines the raised forms. Adding Bleached Bone to the final green highlight brings out the prominent facial planes without replacing the darker green structure, after which the eyes and teeth complete the expression.
