RULES·WHITE DWARF 347

Battle of the Ridges

November 2008·p. 38

THE SHORT VERSION

Two armies begin on opposing high ground and confront one another across the intervening valley. Moving uphill is difficult, but units descending directly gain a random movement bonus even while marching or charging. Restricting that extra movement to a nearly straight route prevents it from becoming unrestricted manoeuvrability. The terrain encourages forceful downhill attacks while complicating the timing and geometry of the two battlelines.
