Painting Power Armour
November 2008·pp. 86–87
THE SHORT VERSION
Blue drybrushing, layered green, grey-edged black and blended red illustrate four different ways of defining armour. The text explains why smooth plates can show harsh drybrush marks, how thin layers preserve recesses and when sharp edging restores mechanical definition. Black recess washes and thin glazes provide corrections and additional contrast. Painters are encouraged to combine techniques according to their preferred finish rather than follow only one method.
