Painting a Khandish Icon and Final Assembly
March 2006·p. 80
THE SHORT VERSION
The sun emblem begins as a black circle with successively added triangles, making a difficult freehand design a sequence of simple shapes. Vomit Brown fills the interior while a circular black line preserves its centre, and bone highlights finish the symbol. Only then are the horses and vehicle removed from their temporary bases and fixed to the final ground. The banner and rider are attached last, leaving touch-ups accessible.
