Tau Skin and Sept Markings
March 2006·p. 53
THE SHORT VERSION
The skin recipe starts with Shadow Grey and gradually adds Bleached Bone, making each highlight smaller as it becomes lighter. The adjoining marking guide explains how repeated stripes can identify a team and how leaders receive more prominent helmet markings. Examples from several septs show how those signs can change the character of otherwise similar armour. Skin and insignia thus provide individuality within a deliberately consistent military force.
