War in the East
February 2006·pp. 25–37
THE SHORT VERSION
Gav Thorpe’s Gondorians attempt a breakthrough against Alessio Cavatore’s Easterling and Khandish army. Early loss of Aragorn’s horse and an isolated advance expose the Citadel Guard to encirclement, while the trebuchet remains a dangerous counter to chariots. Once Gondor breaks, Khamûl exhausts the remaining heroes’ resolve and their followers flee. Aragorn alone fights his way off the table after seventeen turns, denying Evil a major victory but leaving Alessio the minor win.
