MODELLING·WHITE DWARF 314

Artillery Entrenchments

February 2006·pp. 78–79

THE SHORT VERSION

A shaped foam embankment on a firm base represents the protected position available to Dwarf artillery. Cocktail-stick stakes create a simple anti-cavalry version, while James Griffiths uses ceiling tile, textured plasticard and runic trim for a more detailed Grudge Thrower emplacement. The weapon remains loose on its turning rails so it can be repositioned during games. Tools, telescope and barrow supply believable working details without turning the model into a fixed display.
