Artillery Bases and Movement Trays

February 2006·pp. 75–77

THE SHORT VERSION

Fixed bases improve stability and leave room for artillery accessories, but complicate removing a fleeing crew or forming them for combat. Cutting fitted holes in a foamboard insert lets ordinary based figures remain detachable inside a textured tray. The guide also recommends dry fitting the cannon and trimming its glued seam after curing. Separate accessories can be based individually when a full scenic assembly would interfere with play.
