PAINTING·WHITE DWARF 311

Metal, Lenses, Skulls and Crusade Seals

November 2005·p. 54

THE SHORT VERSION

Boltgun Metal, a thin black wash and Chainmail edges establish the metallic details. Red lenses receive orange in one corner and a bone reflection in the other, while skulls move from leather through bone to white on the prominent features. Seals use a darker red foundation, bright red body and orange highlights. Four short recipes explain how limited colours can still separate very different materials.
