The starter recreates the Fellowship’s encounter in Balin’s tomb with all nine companions, twenty-four Goblins and a Cave Troll. A small complete rulebook and separate introductory booklet accompany pillars, doors, the tomb and other room furnishings. Troke presents the compact set as a way to learn the game through a recognizable scene while retaining the rules needed to expand into larger battles.
