SHOWCASE·WHITE DWARF 308

The Might of the Dwarves

August 2005·pp. 114–117

THE SHORT VERSION

Adam Troke compares two tournament collections: a compact army of Erebor led by Dáin, Balin and Gimli, and a larger Second Age force built around Durin III and Mardin. He describes their results, the practical need to finish the first army quickly for a Croatian event, and the value of a strong shieldwall. Painting recipes, homemade banners and sculpted packs show how the collections’ shared identity was established without giving every warrior a unique treatment.
