Dwarf Tactics: The Shieldwall

August 2005·pp. 115–117

THE SHORT VERSION

High Fight and Defence make a close Dwarf line difficult to dislodge, but its flanks and limited mobility need deliberate protection. Troke places a courageous hero centrally for Stand Fast, keeps banners within reach of the fighting, and retains spare warriors to close gaps or support an exposed wing. Shielding can buy time rather than win fights, while a curved defensive formation makes it harder for enemies to surround individual Dwarves.
