INTERVIEW·WHITE DWARF 308

Designing the Book

August 2005·p. 16

THE SHORT VERSION

Alun Davies describes the Wood Elf book as the third part of an Elven visual trilogy, following the High and Dark Elves while using stronger earthy colours and natural forms. Branches and watching Spites are enlarged and faded into page textures to suggest being observed in the forest. He stresses restraint: the graphics should communicate a sinister, organic setting while allowing the actual content to remain clear.
