Of the Hive Mind: Synapse Control

July 2005·p. 60

THE SHORT VERSION

A trial deployment tests whether the Synapse network really covers the army before a game begins. Gaunts should ideally have two supporting nodes so that one casualty cannot collapse a flank; fast creatures need winged support or correctly positioned trailing models to stay connected after charging. Diagrammed examples show how an apparently strong attack fails when it outruns its controllers. Units independent of Synapse can instead occupy a separate flank when coverage is limited.
