Chapter Approved: Battlezone Swamp Worlds
May 2005·pp. 64–73
THE SHORT VERSION
Andy Hoare adds environmental rules for battles on worlds where swamp dominates the surface. Armour limits movement, submerged infantry gains cover and immobilised vehicles may sink, while untouchable creature markers make nearby ground dangerous; ordinary missions remain the framework, but route choice and adaptation become major parts of winning.
George Dellapina and Chris Straw demonstrate trees, wet terrain, a radio shack and a crashed speeder using common materials. Four example boards show how causeways, fire lanes and objective placement can create different battles, including a simple version made with scattered sand rather than a newly constructed table.
