Water
May 2005·p. 69
THE SHORT VERSION
Textured bases receive a brown foundation and stippled dark colours that suggest differing depth. Several coats of water-based floor varnish create the wet surface, while a hand-sculpted crocodile provides a memorable local inhabitant; the method relies on painted depth under a shallow reflective layer rather than casting a thick body of water.
