Heroes of the West: Éowyn

November 2003·p. 131

THE SHORT VERSION

A softer transition between flesh colours distinguishes Éowyn’s face, with a thin glaze smoothing the highlights before the eyes and lips are finished. Her leather armour combines darker and lighter brown panels separated by a fine black line. Red edging and pale highlights add definition without losing that distinction between the different leather pieces, showing how careful outlining can make small costume details readable.
