Escalation leagues break a large army project into manageable milestones shared with other players. Regular games at intermediate sizes make each new unit matter, build rules knowledge gradually and leave room to change plans when real games reveal a weakness. The proposed progression runs from Combat Patrol or five hundred points to a full Strike Force, with flexible scheduling for local groups.

Marshal Vigar Obolswald reports on an unusually intact Ossiarch fortress taken by Lethisian forces. The account moves from responsive bone defences into silent stables, monumental barracks, libraries and the Mortisans’ subterranean workshops, with each discovery costing lives. A closing annotation reveals that the marshal and his remaining command disappeared during their follow-up investigation, turning an apparently victorious survey into a warning.

Bone walls, black stone and nadirite form layered defensive rings whose passages can open or close at a Mortisan’s will. Artillery is integrated into the fortifications, bone appendages attack siege engines and gatehouses behave like crushing jaws. The survey makes clear that a necropolis is an active weapon rather than passive masonry.
