Marshal Vigar Obolswald reports on an unusually intact Ossiarch fortress taken by Lethisian forces. The account moves from responsive bone defences into silent stables, monumental barracks, libraries and the Mortisans’ subterranean workshops, with each discovery costing lives. A closing annotation reveals that the marshal and his remaining command disappeared during their follow-up investigation, turning an apparently victorious survey into a warning.
