Aspects of War: Cut and Thrust
September 2025·pp. 84–85
THE SHORT VERSION
Optional Strategic Gambits let opposing commanders negotiate immediate advantages during a battle. A player can request improved movement, a charge boost or better combat dice, but the opponent can demand victory points, command points, a repositioning move or temporary protection in exchange. Both must agree before the bargain takes effect, making tactical judgment and negotiation part of the risk.
