Painting the World Eaters
June 2025·p. 90
THE SHORT VERSION
Neil Robertson uses an airbrush to make red power armour practical across an army. A black undercoat and grey zenithal highlight establish natural shadows before increasingly bright reds are sprayed over the upper surfaces; he reserves extra brush highlights for characters and focal models. Recipes keep the trim and working metal comparatively simple, using washed brass and silver to frame the main colour rather than compete with it.
