Kill Team Focus: Elliot’s Tempestus Aquilons
June 2025·p. 112
THE SHORT VERSION
Elliot paints his Aquilons as if they are undertaking a night-fighting mission. A grey undercoat supports Contrast base colours, followed by simple highlights and darkening shades; an umber oil wash across the models, cleaned back with white spirit, ties the surfaces together. The blue-armour recipe uses a turquoise shade to cool the finish, while nearly black fatigues keep attention on the armour and faces.
