THE SHORT VERSION

The Stilling weakens Chaos sorcery and even transhuman emotion, but extreme devotion allows some warbands to press deeper into the Nexus. While Abaddon monitors rather than fully commits, Vashtorr brings Wyrmwood into the anomaly and seeks technologies for his own ascension. Word Bearers exploit despair, Thousand Sons deploy ancient machines, and Fabius Bile plunders exhausted defenders for biological material, multiplying threats the Necrons did not intend to invite.

Concealed units gain protection from distant fire but their own shooting and movement are constrained, and a central storm can block fire between the flanks entirely.
