THE SHORT VERSION

Liege-Immortis Karash explains his purpose as the blade that spares Katakros the indignity of personal combat. Certainty begins to fracture when both experience overwhelming visions through the wounds Archaon left them, briefly interrupting the Mortarch’s perfect command. Katakros restores the battle’s order, but Karash secretly writes the event down, troubled by the discovery that even their greatest strategist can glimpse chaos beyond his calculations.
