THE SHORT VERSION

Herolf Agravan combines old taxonomic writings with restricted Freeguild testimony to document the creatures beneath Gallet. Arachnaroks, paralysing Toxipedes, a vast land kraken and its smaller offspring, deceptive Lantern Greatmoths and petrifying cockatrices turn ordinary travel into a sequence of lethal misunderstandings. A disputed addendum describes the armed, apparently intelligent Silent People, leaving their motives less certain than the dangers of the other beasts.
